The current Animal Shelter was built in 1965 and is no longer suitable for the needs of a modern Animal Services Facility. In light of this reality, the City of Mobile has decided to build a new Animal Services Facility that will be capable of supporting our evolving mission over the next 50 years. Clark, Geer & Latham and Jackson Ryan Architects are diligently working on the design to ensure the City's needs are met. The new facility will feature an Adoption Mall, a Veterinary Clinic, and a Classroom where we will begin hosting training classes for the public.
